Got a start on this one finishing up and painting the chassis. This is not going to be a quick build as it's never going to be a priority but I'll work on it in bits and pieces in the background.

Blimey! I nearly missed this one!
What do you think about the wheel setup?

1:16 ? That model must be huge?! But I love the box art, that is a beautiful old type!

I'll have to keep an eye on this one. Hope you didn't have the problem that I've got with mine - both rear mudguards snapped in half!

Bozzer, my friend, you haven't missed anything yet. This will be a slow project. Haven't cracked into any of the wheels yet but looking forward to trying them out.
Thank you for stopping in Frank!! It is gigantic! It'll take up a lot of space once I get it built that's for sure.
Thanks John, I haven't made it that far yet but I'll certainly be careful.

@ Kyle. This is a baby. Check out my cheeky restoration album? Good to see you around, R kid 100%

Big for me Bozzer!! I've never built anything bigger than the Tamiya 1/20 scale F1 stuff! Small compared to a truck like yours in the same scale though. That's very cool!

Bozzer, mine is the Bandai version. I don't have much luck with large scale cars. E-type & 275 GTB both have snapped front pillars.
23 February 2024, 12:04

I think they're the same John. My sprue trees still say Bandai on them
23 February 2024, 17:13

John, I have the bandai version too. I can try and cast you new ones, if that helps?
23 February 2024, 17:51

Thanks, Bozzer. I'll keep that in mind when I get around to building it. They are nice clean breaks, though, so it might be a simple fix.
Yes, Kyle, they are the same kit.

Sadly no, Bozzer. Just been swamped at work. Bench time has been suffering. I've just been doing simple projects when I have a minute or two to grab at the bench. If I can get some decent bench time one day I'll move along with this.
Steve, thank you!! It's a nifty kit.

No worries mate. I can relate to the work scenario, sincerely! However, I'm still dabbling. Keep us updated, mucca 👍

I'm tinkering on some stuff as well Bozzer. Just not having time to get into anything quite this involved. Back home now and hopefully work will cut me a break a bit.

Not a chance here. Bouncing all over the country, and back out tomorrow. I did get to spend a minute in my cave though. The only thing that makes me home sick!
Look forward to seeing your builds again, brother.

I'll be here when I can. Hopefully we both get a chance to get some time in the cave!!
