Fitting the fuselage. 

Test fitting. There are gaps and fitment issues on some major parts. 

It is imperative to do some putty works, especially on the wing joints and fuselage. 

this is like the 2nd putty layer, still some gap. 

3rd layer to close it off. At least is enough.. 

After sulking for like half a year. I decided to continue it (and completing it as is) alongside with Eduard Mirage III C build. I have pre-shaded it previously on all surfaces and painting all the little things. Painted the main surface with EDSG C331. 

After sulking for around 7 months, I decided to continue it (and completing it as is) alongside with Eduard Mirage III C build. I drilled out the airbrake and decided to not make it extended to save the hassle. Painted the underside with white C62. 

Decal setting. It is very flimsy but conforms well. Actually, I am liking it instead of Hasegawa's decal despite it is kind of old. 

Varnished, and then wash it with Tamiya Accent Liner on the underside. After that wiping it gently with turpentine. Did all the assembly afterwards. 

Assembly of wingfolds and fuel tanks. And lastly varnished. 

Peeling off the masking for canopies and cameras. 

 

 

Calling it done! I am glad it is over despite my mood on building it was really low. In the end, it went okay and enough to be presentable. Definitely not the same level of today's kit.
