M4A4 - DDay Museum Gate Guard Model

Started the M4A4 a week ago. Just a bit of construction going on right now. Second time with this kit and it makes quite a bit of difference. Knew when to fit parts a bit differently and to get ahead of fit issues I had the first go-round. Also the running gear was much easier and turned out much better this time around.  

 

 

Got back after the M4A4 working on the Friul individual tack links. I have a done several of the Sherman tracks so there were no surprises. Finally figured out a way to get an accurate amount of tracks for each side.  

Back at the M4A4 gate guard. Used Oxide Red Mr Surfacer 1000. Horrible smelling stuff, ughhhh. As rust will be a primary color on this, as a base coat this makes sense. Not super excited about how glossy it turned out but it is just going to mostly get covered anyway. Not much to the assemble of this one. Most of the parts have been ripped off of it over the years and everything is pretty well sealed up.
