DHC-3 Otter Turbo Prop

I see you corrected the scale on the project. It does look like a 1:48 from the quality of your build. Really nice addition to your 1:72 collection. Congratulations.
Album info
DHC-3 Otter Turboprop with aftermarket decals for the Kenmore Air livery. Also aftermarket turboprop. It had been a while since I've worked on a 40+ year old kit. It actually had a complete resin kit as well inside that I have stored for later. This involved a fair bit of cutting, filling, sanding, filling, sanding, and scratch building little details. The decals were very delicate, especially for being so long and skinny.
Something I have never had happen - the resin nose seems to keep seeping through anything I put on it (you can see glossy spots in the final photos). I had thought I just didn't wash it enough to remove the release agent but after repainting it I noticed it only shows up on areas that I had sanded. I'm not sure if the part just never cured correctly but I tried everything I could think of with no luck. It is still somewhat tacky after a week of finishing it.
Overall it was fun to work so much on little details and I am a fan of how it turned out overall. Although small, the bare metal parts I think came out very well. This is also the first model I've done where I didn't use any pin wash - it didn't seem really needed
