This looks to be a most fascinating build Christian. From what I have seen in the 'plumbing' department, it will be good. 🙂

Many thank's for your kind comments mates. The base is not finishey yet => some pics will follw. But when I arrive at home from work it is dark in germany. So the only chance to take some photos without flash is at the week end. Because I will be at the exhibition in Ried next WE it will last some time till I can take them.

If it's snowing there now, Don't go near yellow snow LOL 🙂 Looking forward to the pics mate.
12 November 2014, 23:09

LOL. Do I REALLY have to explain that one Mike ? 🙂 I wouldn't eat it :-/

Thanks again.
@ Bill: No real problems. It seems tha not all of the pannel lines are correct but this is something for nitpickers. The grey putty on the pictures is Mr.Surfacer 500 which was enough to close the gaps. On on two position (rear cockpit wall and front wheel weel) it was necessary to use Tamiyas white putty. To build a T.4 the cable ducts at each fuselage side have to be shortened. One problem ocuured at the end of the build when the seats did not fit inside the cockpit because of the seat belt buckles at the side of the seats made the seats to wide. I removed the non visible parts of the belts to solve this.

It's coming along nicely Christian and will be something to look at when all is done mate. 🙂
13 November 2014, 08:07

Which colours did you use for the "metallic-look"
Edit: Ok forget the question 🙂
Btw. the finished Lightning looks awesome😉

Many thanks for so many kind comments. This will motivate me for the next project whiich will be the F.2A Airfix kit completly in NMF with markings of the same unit.
13 November 2014, 16:55

Lovely model Christian. I've just bought this kit for my stash and when I get round to building it,it will be my first jet kit. Sometimes it's good to build something different🙂

Hallo Lemmy! Hab die Lightning schon auf der Seite vom Thomas gesehen und freue mich drauf sie in Ried live bewundern zu können. Ein sehr schönes Modell mit super Alterung.
13 November 2014, 18:35

@Stefan: Wann reist ihr an?
@ Matyn: Same with me. Britisch jets are normally not my subject but this kit has everything you need to build a well detailed o.o.b model and needs only small improvements.
13 November 2014, 19:59

Wir werden am Samstag um ca. 7.00 da sein. Von Linz brauchen wir nur etwa eine Stunde Fahrtzeit.
14 November 2014, 14:47

The base is finished now. As promised some new pic have been added. For the intake cover the part of the Airfix kit is used. The ladder is from Eduard, the rest from Flightpaths RAF airfield diorama set.
23 November 2014, 20:52

Worth every minute of waiting for the final photos. A big congrats Christian. 🙂 Really really nice to see.
23 November 2014, 21:17

Very fine build of a very ugly jet (dont feel offended, just my personal opinion. 😉 )! 👍
24 November 2014, 13:47

Thank's again.
@Ulf: Not the nicest but one of the most interestkng designs.
24 November 2014, 16:11

Ist sehr schön geworden.
Btw. British aircrafts are not ugly, in other words they are curious/strange!!!
🙂
25 November 2014, 09:23

Thank´s Bill.
Danke Dirk.

26 November 2014, 12:08

Wow what a lightning man. Looks great and on that display even more. Didn't know that these kits come with all that extras. How is the shape of the kit?
10 December 2014, 00:22

Thank's for your kind comments.
@Aris:The fit is o.k. Not as good as from amainstrem company like Tamiya or Airfix but nothing that can't be solved.
10 December 2014, 16:38

Thank's Guido. The second Lightning is under construction yet.
14 December 2014, 10:08

Hallo Lemmy!

20 December 2014, 18:51

Danke Roland! Aber übertreibe nicht. Du machst mich ganz verlegen 😳

Album info
This is the Sword Kit. The ratio between price and what you get when yo buy this kit is excelent. You get PU seats and nozzles as well as PE parts for the cockpit and antennas. The fit is o.k. with some unaccuracies at the nose cone front wheel bay section.
The Decals adhere very well. I started to build this kit in june but did not have the time to post some pics.
Now it is time to do this.
