Thanks, Markus. For the discoloring of the camouflage, I use a tool called "Artool FX Texture" template. While the panel lines, grime, soot, leaks i used AMMO MIG and AK pigments, washes, paste, and splashes. And they were applied using a brush, sponge, or by splattering with the help of the airbrush. Chipping was done using sponge with Mr. Color No.8 Silver

Thanks, Spanjaard. I wanted badly to do a Mosquito but that was the only scale I have of the Mossie LOL

I would love to see what you do with a 1/24 mosquito... That will be something to behold 🙂

Wow, the "wear and tear" effect on your Mossie is just, well, perfect. Truly outstanding realism IMHO. Thanks for sharing the pics and the technique 👍 👍 👍

Hello, Alec. thank you. Is posting a link here permitted? I have a photo gallery that shows all the steps I took, if this interest you. flickr.com/photos/dm..01/with/43374734434/

Links are certainly not a problem 🙂
You can submit also links to "articles"in other modeling sites, in the "articles" section😉

Thanks for posting the link to the build Monty. Very helpful. That texture template looks great: never saw it before! I always wondered how to best create the textures on aircraft surfaces exposed to weather. This sure look like it will do the job. Thanks again.
Regarding adding your build album to your articles section: not sure if photo collections from Flicker can be added as articles to one's profile. See the Scalemates FAQ section - it's discussed under "Search engine (inner workings)" heading. No clue why that is.

Thanks, Cuanjete! They are, Spanjaard. I read it over FB and saw a short YT tutorial video. It was enough to convince me that I must have it LoL.

yes, i am thinking on getting one two. there are several ones, any recommendation?

I recommend TFX1 "mini-series". So far i used TFX1 a lot. I also bought TFX2 just because i wanted to take advantage of the expensive shipping cost to Indonesia. I have yet to use TFX2.

Album info
The project was basically my paint mule to try out the Artool FX Texture template that I recently bought. The Xtradecal sheet had a great number of marking options to choose from. I wanted to create a weathered aircraft, and found that RAAF's Mossies in the WW2 Pacific theater were exactly the examples I was looking for
