Did you hand hold the zoomed in shot? It is important to use a tripod, afaik zooming in makes it more blurry if the camera isn't entirely steady.

I always use tripod and IR remote shutter release. Frustrates me how it sometimes gets blurry. I thi k it's depth of field issue
