Thanks, Spanjaard. Still a lot to learn. Only had the printer for a couple of months now and it's not as easy as I thought!

I was really tempted to get one myself, then I tried to do some 3D design at home. I will wait to buy one until I actually can design something. Otherwise it is a very nice ...paperweight

seems to be a resin printer, right?, well suited for the necessary resolution in model building...
printing with filaments, there is still a lot of work to be done to fill and grind

Dietmar: The Elegoo Mars 2 Mono...not the Pro. The Pro has a red cover, the Mars 2 is green.

Adrian: There are a few different websites; Thingiverse, Archibaseplanet, 123free3dmodels, Sketchfab...I can't remember exactly where each one came from but I just searched for "free 3d people stl files" and a bunch of stuff came up...not all free of course, and as I commented on the pic, some not the best quality, but, beggars can't be choosers, right? 😁

Ho Ko: Thanks! And yes, resin it is. After watching a gazillion videos on each type, I decided resin was the way to go. A lot more fine details and a lot less work to clean up. Not to say there isn't cleanup involved with resin, just a lot less than filament. It's a learning process for sure, and I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer sometimes, so a lot of trial and error.

For easy designing your own figures look at he mahehuman-Community, with their freeware you can easily design your own people.

Elegoo Mars 2 Mono...not the Pro. The Pro has a red cover, the Mars 2 is green. It's actually a bit of a dinosaur now, as far as resin printers go. It's only a 2K resolution...I think 8K is the standard now. Higher resolution gives you just that, higher resolution prints meaning sharper details.
