Built after toying with some inexpensive and un-photographed kits - the excellent Tamiya Birdcage Corsair. Built around 1996 

I still have this one - Italeri´s PBJ with the underslung torpedo. Also from around 1996. 

The Hasegawa 1:50ish Ki-84 Frank gave me weathering opportunities - built around 1998. 

My first classic Revell ship, the South Goodwin lightship. Despite brazenly leaving ejector pin marks, I tried my hand at improving the railing around the lantern from the clear styrene part supplied in the kit. Also arond 1998. 

Monogram 1:48 Mosquito - a really pleasing kit. Late 1990s. 

The then new Revell Me 410 also was a kit I enjoyed building. 

I added a pack of CMK resin to this Tamiya Skyraider, but couldn´t resist using this very hackneyed scheme. It´s attractive though. 

Hasegawa´s 1:48 Shinden. Built around 1997. 

A British classic in a classic British shade of paint. Tamiya´s Morgan. 

Airfix´ Wallace and Gromit windowcleaner´s motorcycle, I love those films.

The classic Monogram 1:48 P-61 Black Widow, also from 2002. Not without issues, but definitely buildable. 

New tool Revell 1:48 Strike Eagle, built in 2002 and still one of my favourites. 

Academy´s 1:50 Mirage III C in Israeli markings, a beautiful plane and a striking livery. Built in 2003. 

Yellow is not my favourite colour in modeling, and this Airfix 1:72 Antarctic Auster had to be brushpainted for a group build. An exercise in frustration. 

I spent a lot of time modifying and accurizing the Airfix 1:72 Lunar Module, even made a bit of lunar surface in 2003. Alas, all gone now save the images. 

This Academy Arado 234 was tricky to build, especially the canopy. I like the effect on the booster engine parachute packs, though. Built in 2003. 

This Hasegawa 1:72 "Emily" flying boat still hangs from the ceiling in our hall. I like that beast. Built in 2003. 

I don´t quite remember which manufacturer made this F-5 kit, but it was a good opportunity for masking a camo pattern with adhesive putty. Built in 2003. 

I still like the look of this Italeri 1:72 F-100 in Danish livery, built in 2003. 

I was later reminded that this Hasegawa 1:48 "Val" would have looked spick and span during the Pearl Harbour attack, not excessively weathered as I built it in 2003. 

That´s where it started with the ships - a Matchbox 1:700 HMS Kelly built waterline in a measly attempt at a seascape in 2003. 

Also built in 2003, the Revell "Vosper" MTB, actually representing a vessel used for filming the TV show "McHale´s Navy".  

This big impressive 1:32 Revell F-14, also built in 2003, sadly developed cracked seams and had to be discarded. 

The 1:72 Revell S-61 of the German Navy was a great kit to build in 2003 and still exists. 

My first ship build using PE railings, an early Trumpeter offering of a Chinese "Harbin" destroyer. That model established my contact with Jim Baumann. 2004. 

Revell´s ESSO Glasgow T2 tanker, yet another attempt at improving a classic kit. I built this in 2004, and 18 years later am still at it.

In 2006, my output increased, and I started building anew the Airfix kits from my youth in earnest. This is the 1:600 Ark Royal III, at that time still lodged in a silicone-based seascape. 

This Type 21 frigate, HMS Alacrity, also a 1:600 Airfix kit, was built in 2006 and placed on a seascape of plaster which had been cast against crinkled aluminum foil to achive the surface texture.  

Also built in 2006 - the 1:600 Airfix Leander class frigate kit built as HMS Argonaut after receiving bomb hits during the Falklands War. 

Also built in 2006 - the 1:600 Airfix HMS Fearless shown during the Falklands War when she hosted a Sea Harrier low on fuel on her helo deck.

1:144 (ish) Revell trawler kit of many names. I built it after visiting the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre and touring their museum ship Ross Tiger in the summer of 2015. The model was built and extensively detailed and upgraded in 2016. 

Trumpeter 1:350 tribal class destroyer built as HMS Eskimo in 2016, using WEM PE and various other aftermarket items. The misshapen bow was corrected. 

Valom 1:144 Sopwith Pup built in 2016. 

The main project of 2017 was building a model of HMS Victorious during her service for the US navy in the Pacific in 1943. I used the 1:400 Heller kit and oodles of L´Arsénal and other aftermarket items, including a resin bridge made by Peter Hall. I tried to replicate as closely as possible a period photo. 

For which I needed a refueling tanker. So I built another Revell ESSO Glasgow kit, this time in its military guise, which needed a LOT of corrections. 

I did not attach the models to their bases so I could present them on a common base at model shows. 

The only other completion I have on record for 2017 is this Retrokit resin figure which definitely is not called a Minion.

My most involved project of 2019 was building the old Revell box scale angled deck Essex kit as USS Hornet recovering the Apollo 11 Command Module. Not that much of the original kit was used, a lot of aftermarket and scratchbuilding was needed. One of my favorite models. 

WEM 1:700 HMS Sussex County Class Cruiser. I love the reflections of the smooth "water surface". 

The year 2020 started with this Airfix 1:72 RN Buccaneer. A fine kit and pleasing result. 

I then built this Sword 1:72 Fairey Gannet AEW.3 in 2020. Things went easier than anticipated, and the result turned out better than feared. 

Next build for 2020 was the WEM 1:350 Castle Class corvette. 

Followed by the Atlantic Models 1:350 HMS Hurworth MCMV. Built during the pandemic spring of 2020. 

Also during the spring of 2020, I dragged this Amodel 1:144 C-123 Provider with skis from the shelf of doom. Well, I persevered, but only just. 

I had much more fun during the summer of 2020 building the 1:72 Airfix Air Sea Rescue Launch, augmented by a downed pilot and some scratchbuilding. I´m especially happy with the diagonal planking effect and the cage aerials. 

In 2020, I did another 1:600 Airfix kit, HMS Suffolk. This required extensive rebuilding, and I´m quite happy with the result compared to what was in the box. 

The last kit started in 2020 was the Orange Hobby 1:700 HMS Hermes, Falklands fit. This is truly no easy kit, with a plethora of microscopic PE and a very crowded instruction sheet. Moreover I had trouble with paint adherence despite thoroughly cleaning the hull part from mold release agent residues. Anyway, somehow I completed it, but I won´t tackle anything like that anytime soon. 

It was much more fun building this Artitec 1:350 resin kit of the Dutch version of the british Leander class in the spring of 2021.  

I followed with the Atlantic Models 1:350 resin kit of HMS Cleopatra, a classic gun-armed Leander in comparison with the Dutch vessel after its mid-life modernization. Built in 2021. 

During the summer of 2021, I tackled the Revell 1:200 Smit tug, originally an IMAI kit. I displayed it in a yard setting with workmen on board. 

I had also made a slipway for the tug, but the display box turned to be some crucial millimetres too low, so I left the slipway as a vignette of its own in the summer of 2021. 

The last model for 2021 was the excellent Starling Models 1:350 HMT Sir Gareth. 

2022 proved to be a difficult year on various levels. I hardly did any modeling, save this Airfix 1:72 Supermarine Swift. 

The main project for 2022, started on New Year´s Eve 2021 and paused in late March, was this classic Revell 1:285 Wind Class icebreaker, built as USCGC Burton Island in the late 1960s. It involved a major rebuild and a seascape / ice setting, complete with figures and penguins. When I got back a bit of my mojo in November, I completed the kit and am actually quite happy with it. 

I was working hard on completing my HMS Ark Royal airgroup, using CTA decals. The first kit was the Gannet COD, built from the Trumpeter kit. 

Then followed the Sea King HAS.1, built from the Revell kit for the German version, with some modifications. 

Completing the six aircraft builds was the Wessex, built from the Italeri kit. 

I then made some sort of base to display the six aircraft together. 

In between, I tried to make a seascape for my 2006 build of the Airfix Severn lifeboat. At speed. I hope I got away with it. 

This kit was on my bench for the best part of a year, due to me being finally burnt out. I´m glad I finished it and have since regained my mental well being. It is the classic 1964 vintage Airfix 1:600 RMS Mauretania kit, with some improvements. 

I bought two cheap vintage armour kits at a museum, and tried my hand on them. This is the classic and still good Airfix 1:76 88 mm gun and tractor kit, depicting the famous German 8,8 cm Flak which was also heavily used against targets on the ground. 

The other kit is a Matchbox classic of the 105 mm self-propelled howitzer, the M7 "Priest". 

This 1:700 Kombrig resin kit depicts the British pre-dreadnought battleship HMS Duncan in 1901, still in Victorian livery. 

I had built the classic FROG lightship kit back in the 1990s. After a makeover and cull of older models I decided to try to refurbish this one instead of trashing it, and put it on a seascape. 

MiniArt´s 1:35 Tempro Dreirad is an excellent kit that needs quite some attention and care. This small diorama sort of grew around it, using more MiniArt figures and supplies plus one M.A.I.M figure. 

Another shelfsitter of a kit, bought in 2001 or thereabouts, the Hasegawa 1:32 F-156 C Fieseler "Storch". I built it using ASK aftermarket decals, depicting a captured machine used as Gen. Eisenhower´s personal transport.
