Eduard states clear blue as the color of the spinner. Other sources say green like displayed on the profile obove. Does somebody have reliable information obout the correct color?

I'll ask my colleagues here that do Aussie stuff. Peter Malone is the expert, used to work with, alas he retired and now lives o/s, his book would have it, comes in some of the Eduard kits

It's always hard to be 100% sure of some colours as the pictures used as reference material are in black and white and these aircraft were operating in tropical weather conditions

Hi Christian - I've had a bit of a look at the Eduard decal options, the Russian website "Wings Pallette" & the ADF Serials page and if I had to guess both options could be right. ADF Serials says the plane "HavaGoJo" was delivered to 79 Sqd Dec 1944 and regularly flow by F/O Norman Smithell. Eduard skips forward to April 1945 when it was flown by F/O Norm Turnbull. Perhaps the change in spinner colour was simply to show that change of "ownership"?!!!? Might not correct, but it might make you feel better about which colour you choose - ha ha !!!
Cheers
Justin

It's the same person, he changed his name during the war to that of his step father

Thanks mates. It is alwaws the same situation wih german aircraft of WW II too. I had the hope that allies planes are better documented.
Maybe Scott can give some additional info after talking to his colleagues.

Info I got back, not first hand from Peter Malone, is blue. "Blue Spinner is correct, there are photos from Peter Malone on Aussie Modeller somewhere." I'll see if I can find on that website

All references I've seen show it as blue never seen it in green? But looking at the B&W photo i'd say it's a mid blue not that light as it shows up looking fairly dark in the photo?

I still think it should be a darker mid blue than that used on that model the "AWM" photo would suggest that too 🙂

Construction went on without problems since my last post. Started the paint job which needs to be planed well in advance because of the lot of oversprayed areas. Was the first time that I made a written plan. Some pics uploaded that do not show the latest progress. New pics will follow the next days.
