Personal interest:
In retaliation for Iraq violating UN resolutions forbidding it from attacking citizens opposed to the Saddam Hussein regime, Operation Desert Strike was planned and executed. I provided the weather forecasts for the strike, which was in part carried out by two B-52H Stratofortress from Barksdale AFB, Louisiana staging out of Anderson AFB in Guam. These bombers fired 13 CALCMs on Iraqi military infrastructure.
