Thomas S.Nicely done, I like it. I have the same kit and I'm planning to do it like a car that was used in my grandfather's little construction company, back in the early 70's. It was some shade of solid blue, IIRC from my childhood days. 🙂

István SzücsWoww, it's amazing! My favourite detail is the different colored panel on her back. The weathering is very nice, maybe I would leave one or two hubcaps.

While this kit is nearly unavailable to a decent price, i found this (and the other Jordan) in UK on ebay.
Was very happy about the price and the quality!

First, i would build a lime-green with tan interior....after the interior was ready, i dived into the history...i decided to change the body color.
@Nigel, the color is from my stash and is really close to the acapulco blue. my example was this GT500:

@Yngve, i used Vallejo model air Nr. 71107 US Interior Yellow. similar to the linked above, it is to tan, should be more white. But i llike it the way it looks with the body color

Dominik Weitzer AutorThose i use is a kind of pigments like clear blue from tamiya. i found some different paints from Schmincke and only use three for the sunstripe. On this cinnabar green is written "pigmented waterproof fine spray color" . the linked are written with "total cover" - I don't know. But when never try, we never know.
Just searched for it.
The black labeled are total cover.
There are white labeled also and they look right to me - for example 28 406 is turquoise or 28 500 is phthalon-green with written "transparent" on the label.

Christian WGreat work on the stripes 😮 A pretty nice idea on a Mercedes. The effect with the clear cote comes somehow semi gloss. But nevertheless: sweet!
