Doug CravenHey guys. Hope this isn't out of line on this forum. I was at an old guy's house yesterday helping to clean up, as he's been moved to a nursing home. He has about 200 kits in great condition ... mostly planes and ships which are not my cup of tea. I was wondering if anybody had any advice about shifting these to make some money for his upkeep. I don't want to make a dime on the sale. It's basically pudding money for him!

gorbyYour best option is to list them individually or in small batches on Ebay although that can be very time consuming. A trader will give you a small fraction of their value. You could add them to your own stash and list them for sale on Scalemates but it might take years to sell them all. If you are on Facebook, Facebook Marketplace might also be worth considering.
Obviously the value depends a lot on the kits themselves. If they are expensive or rare kits it might be worth the effort.

Doug CravenDISASTER! Well, the usual kind you get with model kits. My sweet, sweet custom decals For the USS Defiant did not mix well with the clear coat ! They dissolved leaving a sticky residue!

Joe MarreroThis is a nice idea. A guy at the Winconsin regionals contest had a cut away of an aircraft carrier. You might be able to do something similar for a portion of the ship. The scale will be a challenge.
