Welcome Jos, Roland and Daniel. @Roland, I also have the "J" version. Yes Jos I have been bitten by the "Spook" bug. Lol. So far fit has been good. I got the fuselage closed up today.

Watching...
Hey, how about we enter the 2022 with a Phantom Group Build? Some really cool kits were released in the past few years. Would be shame not to make them 😄

Watching 👀
@Sergej Phantom Group Build sounds like fun... I think I would participate as well. Right now I am still waiting for the F-4EJ改 KAI Phantom II (Zoukei-Mura SWS48-12, 1:48)

Ooo am in.. and yes, if we have a group build, am very in for that too!

Challenge accepted, mates! I guess it's my turn to create a SCMGB now... but since I am still waiting for aftermarket decals for Tamiya kit, I would set it for calendar year 2022 🙂
Heads up time for Xmass ideas.

Welcome Sergej, Flight Line Media, WhiteGlint and Augie. I would also be up for a Phantom group build, as I have plenty of them. I want to try a Zoukei-Mura Phantom. Thank you all for your encouragement and kind words.

P.S. is the S-70 (Black Hawk) group build still going on?
9 September 2021, 19:32

Ok, thanks. I need to get these 2 phantoms done and get started on one.

Im Late to the party as usual, watching with interest after my ongoing battle with the F4E

Thank you Sergej and David, for your kind words. I had to put some plastic card in to fill some gaps on the bottom of the fuselage where the wing and intakes meet, and some putty on either side of the nose forward of the intakes, where the bottom of the fwd. fuselage meets the upper. These have been the only problem areas, which I understand is common with these kits. I have aquired a set of "C" model short exhaust nozzles, so will be back dating this to an RF-4C.

Now have a compelete air frame, just a little more sanding to do, then primer.
14 September 2021, 01:52

Thank you very much Jos. Upper side decals are almost finished. It's a phantom so I'm in stencil hell. Lol.
27 September 2021, 00:30

Finally finished the decals. I am beginning to wonder if I will ever finish this beast.
29 September 2021, 00:26

With the decals out of the way, the more fun stuff is about to begin, right? 😎
29 September 2021, 06:04

I like how the decals makes me think this jet is from the 60's or something. 🙂
29 September 2021, 07:42

Thank you all very much for your kind words and encouragement. I did the panel line wash today. This one will remain fairly "clean" Lol.
30 September 2021, 02:05

Thank you very much Mathieu and Guy. Finished pic'a will be up soon.
