Do not be alarmed! The pictures look really brutal. 🙂 This spin-off of the N1K1 construction is at a stage where heavy covering with "Maskol" should provide a lively IJN-green surface. The construction so far is documented in the second N1.K1- gallery, where I will show the further construction steps up to the finished N1K1 in US markings.

Das freut mich Jürgen. Werde bald Bilder der fertig lackierten N1K1 zeigen können- die Decals sind jedenfalls seit gestern aufgebracht.
That´s very nice to hear, Jürgen. I will soon be able to show pictures of the paint-finished N1K1, the decals have been applied since yesterday.

The construction of the Japanese N1K1 has now taken a few significant steps forward: the surfaces are now finished, and the not so small amount of details will now be completed or attached.

Very nice 👍 I have a soft spot for late-war Japanese types. They are often not very elegant like a Mustang but they look really cool.

Thank you John! A good characterisation, I think - that hits the spot!

This N1K1 George is now also finished, this time in the original colours of this machine. Against the background of its place of operation - the Philippines - the picture background with the lush and mountainous landscape fits quite well.
All in all, the two models were a relatively quick and really enjoyable, entertaining modelling adventure!
Thank you for your interest and feedback.

Oh I nearly missed the finish on this one. Superior craftsmanship! I showed this to a friend at work and he thought it was a color photo from WW2.

Roland, just an FYI. I randomly clicked on a YouTube video on the history of the Kawanishi N1K and they used pic #14 from this album in their documentary. I was pointing at the screen and yelling "That's Roland's plane!!!" My wife just looked at me like I was going insane 😂

That's good news - it can't have turned out too badly 🙂 I appreciate your kind feedback, thank you Nathan!

Roland,I have a question for you.I found that there were some ejection pins on the top of the 20mm cannon when building my Armahobby hurricane. How did you dealt with them?Remove them and then drill a hole or use metal parts to replace the cannons?

Hello! Interesting, I didn't even notice, as I used the resin parts included in the kit for the four guns.

Beautiful model excellently presented. The weathering and painting skills are clearly evident. Brilliant work Roland
