@Mr D:From March 1918, the Finnish Air Force used a blue swastika (a common symbol of good luck at the time) to mark its aircraft on the orders of Mannerheim. In 1944, after the peace treaty with the Soviets, the marking was banned by the Allied Control Commission because of its similarity to the swastika of the 3rd Reich.

Well done Guy 👍 great job... nice aircraft to have in the collection, canopy looks good.
👏

I want to clarify what colleague Nicholas said.
The blue swastika was the luck symbol of the famous Swedish scientist and philanthropist, Count von Rosen. The first aircraft in the Finnish Air Force was the Moran-Saulnier L, donated by the Count. And there was a swastika on the plane, his personal emblem.
This has nothing to do with fascism.
The swastika remained on the Finnish Air Force flag until recently, when they were forced to remove it.

Many thanks for your kind comment Mr D. 👍 Denis, thanks for your information regarding the Finnish Air Force. 👍

Nice choice ! 🙂
Let's also add, to be precise, that this emblem for sure has nothing to do with fascism, nor with with german national-socialism, which has itself nothing to do with fascism (Italy 1921-1943) !!!!!
Those political doctrines are both faces of socialism.
One can still hear far too many inexact comments about this solar symbole.
