You're so brave, Lorraine! I would never risk cutting such complicated pieces from a model... Keep it up!

Thank you guys.
@ Robert, I cut off some of the skin of the fuselage, tail and fuel tank. and also cut off my retreat. So I need to figure out a way to complete it😜

@Davide Vitali the new parts are made of 0.5mm ABS sheet. I used a laser cutter to make them. By different power output, a somewhat sculpted effect can be achieved.

Why all of a sudden do I feel the need for a new toy in the form of a laser cutter??
1  10 February, 12:39

Worth a try. It can cut wooden boards, plastic sheets, or engrave on metal. It can also cut masking tape😛

C'est bien traduit, mais passé 16 ans, nous essayons tout de même d'évoluer un peu histoire de changer un peu ce monde qui marche à l'envers !

It is definitely an interesting project! The result come out nice! A question about the laser cutter, how can you use it to cut masks? using laser or it comes with traditional metal cutters?

It's a very interesting job, I'm watching.
The non-scale thickness of the fuselage skin is clearly visible

Thank you mates!
@ Weizenbrot, My laser cutting has different cutting heads, a 10W blue light and a mechanical cutting knife. The blue laser can cut all dark-colored materials, but it doesn't work very well on the light-yellow masking tape. Therefore, I cut them with the mechanical cutting head. Or use a dark-colored (blue) masking tape. The precision of laser cutting is better than mechanical cutting knife.

BTW, red laser works on all materials, it can even cut the transparent materials. But it is more expensive.

Mates, appreciate all for the kind words. The fitting of the kit is good, but some details are missing for the engine and engine firewall. I added some based on Tamiya's instructions manual.
