Album info

One of my old homemade products.
Prototype.
The design of the jet drive of the rotor attracted helicopter designers with its simplicity and the absence of a reactive torque from the rotor.
One of the attempts to implement this design in serial production was made by the Dutch company Nederlandse Helicopter Industrie N.V.
The H-3 Kolibrie helicopter made its first flight in May 1956. Ten H-3 machines were produced for New Guinea, Great Britain, Germany and Israel. The helicopter was designed for chemical treatment of crops - it was equipped with tanks for chemicals and a device for spraying them. However, in 1959 the program was curtailed.
Model.
The drawings of the helicopter were taken from the Internet. Photos and an advertising brochure of the NHI company were found.
The materials used are copper wire and polystyrene of various diameters and thicknesses, drawn sprue, brass tube, medical needles. The lantern was pressed out of 0.5 mm plexiglass, the binding is a decal. The chair is glued from polystyrene and copper wire, molded in a sealant and cast in the amount of 2 pcs. from epoxy.
Painting - Testors and Hambrol, the shade was selected from a photo of the prototype.
Decals - from suitable remains from other models.
