Wow! The wood effect on the prop is great, and a fantastic job on the rigging. Beautiful Model!

Thanks Gordon, after reading and watching a lot of materials on the subject this is my first attempt with wood effect using oil paints, and it turned out surprisingly acceptable for my skill level. Rigging was my first attempt in scale modelling as well, but that turned out rather a nightmare...

Where you finde materials for wood effect? BTW, thanks for your comment on Fw-190.

Danijel wood is fake. Here's what i did:
1- humbrol enamel sand yellow and flesh as base color
2- various brown and ochre colors of oil paint (winsor newton) applied via very old and very bad brush hence creating the wood grain with the brush marks.
hope it helps.

Hello Mike thanks for the comment. Rigging is done with invisible/transparent thread, i found it from the craft store's sewing section tho, it's not actually a modelling material.

Thanks Murad, it looks good. Did you have to colour the thread in some way?

Thanks Francisco!
Mike, yep by nature it's transparent, i just painted them over.

your Albatros looks great! Was it an easy build? I have got three kits in my stash and have not yet dared to start building

Thomas, it's your usual early eduard i suppose, has it's warts and all in the usual places but can be built none the less, detail and shape of the fuselage is forgiving that way.
Mike and Ulf , thanks a bunch folks. 🙂
