I bought this kit for my dad as a christmas/birthday gift. I already painted the body in a different colour and gave it back to him. He tried to put the kit together, but he quit, parts were ill-fitting etc. So I said I'd throw it together for him. Alas, if it weren't for my dad, I would have chucked it. Being a snaptite kit, tolerances are non-existent. Holes were closed, others too tight, others too wide.
Only two kinds of people should buy this:
- Masochists, there really is somebody out there loving you, don't buy this.
- Sadists, I think I saw Donald Trump give one of these to Mike Pence "To show my true feelings about your service in the last 4 years."

To be fair, the fit is probably period accurate for the vehicle. I've worked on enough 60s and 70s Beetles to attest to that. seems a little CA glue would sort those engine stickers out. Not very snap fit I know.

Htanks Chaz. I'm not complaining about flush body panels. It's about pins not fitting into their holes. Brute force was needed to get the tub into the body. We're 5 hours later, and my thumbs are still sore from pressing on 1 specific part.

How did I miss this? Sure doesn't look like a horror! You did a bang up job, yet again!
