Like most of us, I did make some models as a kid but nothing worth mentioning. As an early teenager I started to make more. At first 1/35 military vehicles, later I made 1/72 fighter jets. After a visit to the "Victory Memorial Museum" near Arlon (sadly it doesn't exist anymore) I was hooked on 1/35 WWII vehicles. looking back to that period, quantity was more important than quality. After some relocations, I threw away all my models and forgot about modelling.
Then a few years ago I got settled and my then fiancée (later wife and now divorced) encouraged me to pick up my old hobby. Started again with 1/35 WWII vehicles, but after a while I noticed they took a lot of space, not to mention money, so after being encouraged by a "Matchbox Nostalgia" group-build on WorldWarTwoZone, I made the switch to 1/72 and 1/76 AFV's.
