Like most of my fellow builders I built kits a kid n' ended up with a long dry spell due to chasin' skirt n' other activities when I got older. But then I saw a lot of builds on the net around 2005 n' started thinkin' 'bout buildin' again. I had all my stash of Humbrol Enamels left but didn't have any kits so I went to the local toy shop in order to see if they'd something that would interest me. Lo n' behold, I saw the Academy M3 Stuart 'Honey' in 1:35 n' it speaked to me. In fact my first ever AFV as a kid was the same one in 1:76 by Matchbox so it was a fittin' return to the hobby n' it became my first ever 1:35 build. The difference now n' then is huge n' it comes down to the internet n' all the possibillity's that you get on the net in the form of help with techniques n' inspiration. Didn't have that luxury as a kid.
I'm a 1:35 builder at heart when it comes to AFV's but 1:72 is a growing interest for me when it comes to ground targets. 1:72 is my main scale for warbirds even if I also build in larger scales but my heart belongs to 1:72. I also like to add as much as possible with aftermarket when I build.
Main interests is Allied, Italian and German armour.
As for birds I build from WWII and onwards with the major interest being warbirds wearing pin-ups. The two major conflicts after WWII that I'm interested in is the air war in Vietnam and the Falklands.
