Hi Augie, I know this monogram classic from years ago. As far as I remember this is an excellent kit. The camo you choose will make this one perfect. Looking for more....

Thanks Christian.. this one will have the hump which it did indeed have later..

An A-4 !? This means the wingfold set for the PBY-5 has not yet arrived so the pink "Operation Petticoat" Catalina project is postponed ? 🙁
This is very sad news but don't you worry, I know it's not your fault, the wingfold set got probably lost in the mail or at the customs desk, just be patient for a couple more days and it will show up 😉
Meanwhile an A-4 will do, I like Scooters, have fun ...

hehe thanks willy, the pby for the wing fold is also on order with the wing fold kit.... a old aifix one..

I also have an A-4 kit 72nd scale from Fujimi that offers this scheme but it looked so weird that I didn't had plans to build and finish it like that. Now that I've seen the result on Augies model it looks cool and attractive so that option is choice N° 1. I do hope it will have the same effect on a 72nd scale model as not all camo patterns are effective on small scale models, time will tell. Good job Augie, I like this one a lot, good work 🙂
What 2 main colours did you use? Are they toned down or straight from the paintpot? The contrast looks very nice...

thanks Willy 🙂 these are straight from the pot.. both humbrol..
green is 117 and the grey is 32
there is some weathering to do yet..
