VAW-123 Screwtop Hawkeye. Building this to go with my C-2a as they are both very similar builds. Put similar parts on it such as the black dog engine kit. Trying to keep this one around 100 hours though. Also tried a new idea for interior lights and hooking up external power in a way the wire is removable. Seems to work so far. Also used the 4 blade prop kit from my c-2 kit. As I didn't feel like doing 16 blades again, but ended up still being quite the project with 64 decals on the props. The left side I put into the feathered position. Also didn't use all of the photo etch as some parts just didn't seem to offer a better look so I saved the time and skipped a lot of them.
124 hour build. Went a bit quicker than the C-2a from Kinetic. The kit has a ton of detail and came together nicely. Overall I'm really happy with this one and learned a lot from it. I think there was something like 230 decals (propeller aftermarket ones included) and about 90 parts and assemblies to put together during final assembly. So it must've had a few hundred before putting anything together. If I remember right there was 13 or 14 trees. Also put 160-165g of weight in the nose/front fuselage. There 57g of pressure on the nose after completion, so would recommend atleast 125g if you do wings folded.
