I started building plastic models in the early '60s and moved to model rockets for a long time. I returned to serious plastic modeling of mainly scifi, real space, classic monsters, and custom cars around 2009 and am having a great time doing it.

I have been an avid model builder of either plastic models or model rockets since I was about eight years old back in the early '60s. I started with plastic but moved to model rockets around 1970. Then in 2009 I returned to serious plastic modeling of the subjects listed previously.

I was a career NASA shuttle engineer and retired in 2011 after the final mission, hence my interest in rocketry, space, and real space modeling. My other modeling favorites are just a result of my childhood interests.

I attend two Florida contests each year and make an annual trek to Wonderfest in Louisville to satiate my craving for really geeky subjects.
