Returning to scale models following a 32 year abstinence, and enjoying every minute of it!

In my youth I was a member of 230 Sqn RAF Air Training Corps. I began my flight training in the old Slingsby T21 Sedbergh gliders at RAF Burtonwood, soloing in the newly introduced Swallow some time later.
I flew many AEF's in the de Havilland Chipmunk, and was lucky enough to be one of a handful of cadets selected to fly in the EE Lightning T.5 (XS452) whilst on camp at RAF Binbrook in 1986, one heck of an experience!
I have carried on flying on and off since then, and am currently training for my NPPL at a local airfield.
