Su-17 M3 'Fitter' - Modelsvit

The Su-17 is one of the most brutal looking aircraft I have ever seen, it gives the impression of a steam train. It looks intimidating even just standing on the ground.
Unfortunately there are no exact matches of the special versions of the Fitters used in the Hungarian Air Force (with the larger Tumansky engine inside instead of the usual Ljulka), so these models will have to do).

Not sure whether the HuAF usedM3 or M4 (as the latter one was the main export version AFAIK)

Hungary never used the M4 (like Poland), but they ordered the M3 with a Tumansky engine instead of the usual Ljulka. The idea was that the engines would be interchangeable with the similar engines used in the MiG-23 (which they turned out to be not). So in order to build a correct Hungarian Fitter model, one would need to broaden the back of the fuselage slightly and change the auxiliary air intakes. Personally, I won't care.
