Modelling since 1964, Sputnik was a nickname given to me by my grandmother, and she pronounced it correctly in Russian, sounds like spootnik, from the Cyrillic pronunciation.

Pet peeve...getting a beautiful photo of an accurately restored WWII Warbird, only to see some guy in a “Jet Jockey“ bone dome in the cockpit ruining the whole thing. It’s like an actor playing an Elizabethan role with a watch on their wrist. The only thing it will protect you from is a smack against the canopy during a snap roll. They make faux vintage ones with a leather cover, which I am sure is affordable for a Warbird owner.
