Aleutian Planes (1942-1945)
Aircraft of the WW2 Aleutian campaign

Models of aircraft that were involved in the Aleutian campaign, attempting to depict actual aircraft, using available references especially contemporary photographic images. Included are: USAAF land-based aircraft deployed at Umnak, Adak, Amchitka, Shemya and Attu; USN aircraft deployed from ships (e.g., USS Nassau CVE-16, battle of Attu) and land bases (Adak, Amchitka, Attu); RCAF aircraft based at Umnak, Adak and Amchitka; Japanese (IJN) carrier based aircraft (Dutch Harbour attack, June 1942); IJN aircraft based at Kiska and Attu; and IJN and IJA aircraft based in the Kurile Islands.
