I read somewhere that while the box claims it's a 1/48 scale model, several sources suggest that it's actually undersized. Also, that this kit is based on the old Fujimi Mirage III tooling, which was originally released as a 1/50 scale model, and that when Academy reissued it, they marketed it as 1/48, but the actual dimensions are closer to 1/50. As such, should the scale indicate 1/50?
