Very nice scene!👍
The Italeri-RSO and Tamiya-Kettenkrad are another ones of my first model kits of the early 80s. 🙂 Nice to see that they still are able to make attractive models.
12 March 2015, 09:04

Thanks for your nice comments Ulf. I used to look to the RSO as a very strange vehicle but after building this kit, I started to like it a lot...
12 March 2015, 14:58

Thanks for your nice comment Hanno. I'm very glad that this dio made you remember your grandfather and relive his stories (I'm sure very interesting ones)...
P.S. Thanks for sharing that information...

Beautiful work in every regard. Very nice scene and the weathering is fantastic.
23 May 2023, 06:56

It's always incredible what you can get out of old models,
congratulations Rui!
23 May 2023, 12:12

@ gvizbi, thx a lot for your kind comment on this old one. Coming from such a talented modeler it feels great
@ Pietro, Thank you very much for your kind support. Much appreciated. I really enjoy work on oldies.
@ Mr James. Glad you like this one. Thank you.
Interesting to see this oldies come to surface 🤔
23 May 2023, 21:21

The weathering really is beautiful. I love the old Italeri kits. My first kits were the old Testors brand.
24 May 2023, 00:01

Hi Doubtingmango, thank you for your comment. Apreciated.
I still like Italeri kits, and I have great respect for them and also some in stash that I hope to build 😉
24 May 2023, 21:34

@Villiers de Vos, thank you for your comment. Glad you like this oldie
@Pavlo, thx for your kind words, when I was very young I thought this was a "what if" or science fiction vehicle 😄
27 May 2023, 13:59

Thank you for your comment Владимир Ловцов . Apreciated.
The kettenkraft was hand painted, later on the RSO was already done with airbrush, and it's easy to see the improvement from that.
30 May 2023, 22:10

@ Rui, Thank you for stopping by and comment, apreciated, glad you liked this one
@ Jennifer, not quite. 8 years ago I discover scalemates, and posted it, but this one was my 2nd or 3rd Dio??? Done so long ago that I don't even remember when. And I'm such a slow intermittent modeler that I used to stay years without one single build.
Than scalemates enter the scene and I was more motivated but even so my mojo it's better but still very inconsistent
@ Mr James, you may be right but don't worry, scalemates it's a never ending source of Great and new and Beautiful work's that are always appearing, that's why I'm here every single day since.
1 June 2023, 00:27

Okay, Rui, now I am even more impressed. For someone who started working on models about a month ago, the idea of working on them for that many years is incredible.
1 June 2023, 00:53

Be aware Jennifer, it's an addition 😄😄 😄 but a good one, has you can confirm here in scalemates 😉
1 June 2023, 01:03

Hi, Rui S 🙂 ! Out of all your models, I think this one reaches the greatest level of realism and meticulousness. It's not as big as your Panther diorama but still it must have taken a long time to complete. That is some great work right there and it is definitely inspiring. I hope you have another one like this in the near future 🤙
19 June 2023, 14:54

Hi Maxime, Thank you for your nice comment. Apreciated.
I don't know if you access all my dios. This one is an old one and I enjoy doing it and the result I got on the RSO, but in my opinion not my best work. And also not even the one with the Panther.
Anyway don't get me wrong, I'm really glad you like this one.
19 June 2023, 20:37

Oldie but goldie! A "Raupenschlepper Ost" is always a great subject in my opinion. And Sa-Kuva - Please type in: RSO
There is a lovely picture. The Finns had used 10 RSO in continuation war. I think the colour is German sand, the PAK is estimated finnish 3-Tone (green-brown-grey). Finnish green and brown may be very similar on bw-photographs.
2 July 2024, 04:21

Thank you Thomas E. apreciated. Sorry for the late reply and I agree It's a great but somehow strange subject.
12 November 2024, 21:02

You always make the best scenes.
The dirt floor looks as soft as real life.
24 November 2024, 13:30

Thank you very much for your kind words Mate. Really Apreciated.
One of the floor materials, if I remember correctly, was coffee grounds.
As usual on my Dios I use some natural materials 😉 😄
26 November 2024, 17:46

@ Mr D, Thank you very much for taking the time to sotp by and comment. This was a 2 fase Dio. First I've done the dio just with the Ketten & trailer kits and the radio emplacement, then I've build the RSO and I thougt I could place it on that base.
@ Scott Thank you very much. This is an old work but I apreciate a lot your comment.
1 10 December 2024, 22:28

Thank you Siegfried Van den Bosch. I'm glad that you enjoy this one.
18 December 2024, 12:06

Superb diorama, very realistic, I really like the patina of the vehicles, very nice rendering of the tracks.
4 January, 20:17

No airbrush or decal softeners?? How did you do this? However you did it, it's gorgeous. I love all the details. I can see that a lot of thought was put into this.
4 January, 22:05

@ Jean-Daniel, Thank you very much for your nice comment. I'm glad you like them. The RSO tracks were a real treat, it was quite difficult to mold them convincingly, as I didn't know what superglue was at the time. 😮 So I had to use sewing thread as I did and documented later on my Esci halftrack sdkfz 10/4.
@ Jennifer, Thank you so much for stoping bye and comment. Apreciate and happy for your kind words. I always try to think my dios in a way that they tell a plausible story, even when there are new additions later, as was the case. But don't get me wrong. What I meant is that the Ketten, the trailer and the figures were not painted with an airbrush, but the RSO was. I think it was the first time I used it in a 1/35 kit.
2 4 January, 23:53

Hi U1 PLANO, thank you for your kind comment. It makes me very happy to know that you liked this one.
1 7 January, 21:04

Hi, very nice result, on mine, the kennels are Friulmodel, they are the first ones I mounted, a tedious, but good result, the tarpaulin is a paper handkerchief.
8 January, 09:57

Hi Jean-Daniel, Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you like it.
I've used the some tarpaulin material in my Opel blitz. It works just fine.
1 18 January, 15:33

This turned out great Rui and is a worthy case for the oldie but goodie chart. I think some old Italeri kits are better than their newbies. I think this kit began as a 1976 tooling by an obscure brand called TOMY. Anyway I'm going up to the attic soon to see what ancient goodies I can find...
1 25 January, 15:18

@ Timmie, Thank you very much for stoping by. I'm glad you like this one.
@ Stefan, Thx for your kind comment. Apreciated. I tackle this oldies because at the date they where the ones I could aford, but I always enjoy the learning process.
@ Neil, Thank you for your comment, really enjoy reading it. I'm looking forward to see you do the Italeri RSO. I like Italeri, and I didn't yet started with the more newbies in my stash. Geting more expirience first 😄
31 January, 19:38

I might be a bit late RuiS, but this a beautiful diorama....always loved the looks of thr RSO 👍 Especially Picture no. 3 could pass as thr real thing 👀
1 February, 10:03

HI Sebastian. As we say, better late then ever 😄 Thank you for stopping by, Appreciated. I'm glad you like this one. I also like the RSO a lot, mainly after I've built it. Photo 3 is now the Teaser. THX again.
