Scratch-building wheel well covers. Eduard's Hellcat is not engineered to be depicted as an in-flight. 

Essential part of the wheel cover mechanism. Scratch-built from plastic styrene sheet. Actually this one is the closest I was able to measure, mark, cut, measure and cut again 🙂 This is trying #4 🙂 And I'm still not sure I really like it. 

Using Tamiya's brown as another layer of priming the figure 

 

 

 

Finally applied the layer of Gunze Sangy's "Doped Linen" (as far as I remember the name of this paint 🙂
