Hawker Tempest Mk.V was one of the finest late WW2 fighter designs. Fast, heavy armed arrived to RAF in mid 1944. This machine belongs to 501. squadron, pilot F/O Miller, an exchange USAAF pilot. 501 was one of first units equiped with Tempests, after invasion in Normandy Tempest wing moved to front service in France while 501 remained under Air Defence GB fighting against V-1 raids.
