kicked off - must say, except for the horrible canopy, all falls together well

@ Stefan: the wing root fit gives no troubles at all, only a little bit mr surfacer 1000 required to fill some minor holes
18 March 2012, 12:38

Stefan, there's a pic of the added wings, ya can see for yourself now, no problems at all at the wingroots

Looks very nice! I have a Mk.1 in my stash that I want to do in the early war camo. Which paints did you use?
23 March 2012, 22:16

fit is good Christian, exept for the canopy, my model could have been better though if I'd spend more time, but I wanted to finish this in minimum o' time
23 March 2012, 23:08

Assumed the bad fit because the lot of putty displayed on some fotos
23 March 2012, 23:29

the lot o' putty was only required at the endfit of wings and fuselage, for the rest it's a very fine kit

been fooling around with vallejo silver and pastel chalks asa try out, must say I'm not dissappointed for the first time

So if you're "not" disappointed, then you must like the results? I like them! 🙂

The efect looks good. A realy heavy worn aircraft.
Btw: I also tried vallejo silver on on the tracks of my sherman. This is the best silver color I ever used. I scraped my revell and humbrol silver now.

Wowwww,Zimmi!
First try ??? Suberb job you did with the silver chipping.Great model. Like it much :-D
23 December 2012, 09:20

not really the first time around with the silver chipping, but the fooling around with pastel chalks
23 December 2012, 14:26

I like the total but the chipping is a bit too much for my taste. Allthough it looks realistic on the wings is a bit too much looking from the front.
23 December 2012, 14:29

yep, should have been a little more subtile on the leading edges
23 December 2012, 14:33

Ah, you win some, you loose some. Not every model is perfect. I like the overall look though and you've gained some skills in the meantime, of niet dan😉
23 December 2012, 21:50

yep, was fun om te doen, en ben nog niet tevreden, de kleuren kunnen nog een ietsie meer fading gebruiken , nog wat aan de slag met geel en wit, subtiel dan 🙂
23 December 2012, 22:25

Good job,but I don't like the way you chipped the paint: it's too much...
