BTR-4E w/ GROM Turret - Ukrainian APC

For this project I am not using only the etched parts which are coming with the kit, but for additional detail I've decided to go the whole way and add etched parts from PART.

Disappointed of the fit of the tires. Each wheel is made out of 3 parts, and fit is inferior and leaves an annoying gap.

Closed it with Mr Surfacer 500 and Mr Thinner, so no grinding was neccessary which may harm the delicate details

Seats for the rear cabin: painted, a dark wash and some highlighting with light green and white oil paints. Protected by a light coat of semi gloss clear coat. Call them done.

This is as my model has been presented at the exhibition table of the "Modellbaufreunde-Siegen" at the Euro Scale Modelling in November 2024.
This arrangement is only temporarily being used for this day.

Looking great! I started the version with slat armor, but got pretty frustrated with the seats so it will be finished "buttoned up." You definitely are not having any trouble! As I was doing some research, it looks like the IBG kits aren't really the current BTR-4E, the layout seems more like some of the BTR-4s in Nigerian service.

I think the version with the slat armor is going to look pretty impressive even being "buttoned up".
Hardly anything of the interior will be seen later, anyway, it's more of a practice for me, I'm afraid 😉
It may be possible that the IBG kit doesn't look like the current Ukrainian BTR-4E (I've seen only very few with the GROM turret), but I also think there are a lot of variants out there atm.
