Placing some Eduard PE to the wheel wells 

Moving on with the cockpit; the fit of the plastic is a bit cluncky ? 

Bottom of the plane - fit is not perfect, there will be some putty work 

Top of the plane - fit is not perfect, there will be some putty work 

The “nose” fit is absolutely terrible  

Bits and bobs 

Red and yellow painted using Gunze H413 (RLM04) and H414 (RLM23) over AK White Primer, masked over and RLM76 applied using Hataka C038.

Disaster: the X-22 reacted with the chipping fluid, provoking texture and cracking the paint; probably because the chipping fluid is old (10 years), getting thick and was sprayed with a 0.5 airbrush…

I’ll try to remedy; sanded as much as I could, then X-22 varnish again; after, I airbrushed the stripes again (a little thicker this time)
