There are panel lines in the nose section, that were only on the prototype. First use of filler on this project.
Also startet rescribing all panel lines and maybe adding some rivet details as well.

First primer test after sanding the nose cone and the air intakes. Air intakes were a bad fit, needed to be sanded and raised from the fuselage to match. I need to check the panel lines against references, because they are compeltely different on the fuselage and hte air intake parts. May be correct or not.

First attempt at riveting. Not easy and I made some mistakes.

More rivets, will also check against references. But I do not have the intention to make them ultra-realistic, just add some interest.

Printed some missiles and engine parts including the nozzle to replace and enhance the kit parts. First glance they came out pretty good, we will see.

Dry fit of the 3d printed exhaust, compared to the kit part. On the right you see two of three of the exhaust parts that will be visible inside the exhaust, about 3,5 to 4cm inside the fuselage. Will paint these inside in parts, then glue and assemble with the fuselage.

Sanded the upperside to remove scratches (backbone of the fuselage) with 400 and up to 3000 grit and I think the primer was too thinned down in some places. Looked strange, so I wet sanded the delta wings down with 3000 grit sandpaper.

Another round of filling and sanding. Finally no step between the fuselage halves. We will see after priming again.

There were still huge steps between the different parts (see not-primed areas). This will be the last round, or this thing will go to the bin.
Oh, while I was ruinign the kit, I saw out the rudders and positioned them slightly downwards like in many photos in parking position.

Air intakes are ok'ish, the huge gap and steps (fuselage halves, to the wing part) at the back seems alright to me.

Nose sanded and first primer test. Fitted the air intakes and did some riveting after rescribing all panel lines. Will check some panels for correct lines and a rough idea where to put rivets.

As always I am thinking about the colors. I will use Vallejo Model Air and tend to select 71.327 for the lighter shade and 71.143 for the darker. Both seem a little bit too light, but with thin coats over black primer and a dark brown oil wash, this should work i think.
The weapon loadout will be the one mentionen on dstorm.eu hope that makes sense?

yes to DAGUET 1991 = good war armament is MAGIC II , MATRA 530 and ventral reservoir ! for air defens superiority ! on the 2000 under the engine fuselage at the rear, a central decoy box was fitted as a matter of urgency in place of the parachute housing and on both sides!

The files for 3d printing are from cults3d, the engine is linked in the project. The company sells this as STL files on cults or from their own shop as printed resin parts. The missiles are from cults as well, they were free files but the modeler seems to set a price to his models after some time. To be fair, a very reasonable price for the quality!
