What manufacturer is the Pits Special? I used to know it but can't remember it.

Hey Michel! It's actually a Cristen Eagle but of course they do look alike. I believe the company was Airshow Models but I think they are out of business now. It was an interesting build. Resin fuselage, resin wings & control surfaces. It had P.E. rigging and white metal prop and wheel covers with resin wheels. The decals went on fairly well but took some work on the wings. I made my own instrument panel & detailed the cockpit with cloth seat belts/a map and other smaller details. I won 1st place at our IPMS Regional Convention for Non-Military Aircraft!

Thanks. I'm not a specialist in aerobatic planes. 🙂 It's something different and fun to build. It's a pitty that you can't see much of the cockpit you've made.

Who is the pilot on the Christen Eagle? I swear I've seen that exact plane at airshows in the 80s. Congratulations on the award! 🙂
