A Junkyard '69 Z-28 Camaro RS

Na I'm with you on that, it's a great effect, brilliantly done mate

Excellent weathering Darius...
Could do with some dents, bash's, holes and an ill fitting buckled bonnet🙂

@Augie: No, you are not odd, you are a modeler with a special taste!;)

A friend of mine had a 68 Camaro with a 327 in it back in the early 70's. We replaced the engine with a 350 block bought from Sears for $400.oo, one hot summer in S. Florida. Gary Nice job BTW

Thanks all for the comments, this part made model was the ideal candidate to experiment on.It gave a better view for the results rather just practising on scrap styrene.

This was a weekend project on a Revell '69 Z-28 Camaro RS.
I wanted to experiment with different materials for weathering and rust effects.
The model had already been worked on by someone else, the body (and windows) had been painted & weathered, they had used a mixture of epoxy glue, sand & Iron fillings, it just looked too coarse so was removed with a dremel. The rest of the model was built, minus a few missing parts .
Then re-rusted using antique rusting fluid, the underside was done using the salting technique and paints.
The engine and interior built & several washes applied but didn't do much with the wheels rims.
A lot was learnt for the next project .... Always remember! ......... Rust is King! 😉
