Thanks for the kind comments 🙂 I'm really starting to like making 1/35 armor.

This is a great looking piece! The four digit turret number is cool too! Is that because it's an artillery piece or ?

Haven't got a clue Julian. Interesting notion though. Maybe someone can elaborate on that. I usually just build out of the box and trust the manufacturers did their research right. I know, I know, wrong assumption...

Jan, I am with you on that one - way too many kits to add aftermarket stuff. I do mostly OOB or DOOB these days. Obviously the PE I already own I will use. It's pretty easy to finesse some home made details😉

The only things I did to this model was cut and dent the front fenders and cut one of the drums off it's brackets. The plastic is reasonably soft and plyable. Overall I like the result but on closer inspection the quality of the kit doesn't come close to the premier brands. This is of course reflected in the price. The aftermarket Trumpeter tracks, which I had to purchase because kit's rubber bands were deformed, were more expensive than the kit itself 🙂

Very nice! How did you enjoy the Zvezda kit? I really like the look of the big Russian pieces.

It was an easy build Alan. Great for when you want to get painting ASAP. Unlike the Zvezda KV-1 I made earlier, this kit had some issues with flash and some sprues were moulded offset. I suppose this is just an exception and blame it on the Vodka.

Album info
Finally got round to completing this kit which I got as a fathers day present from my sons. I had to order Trumpeter after market tracks since the rubber bands in the box were misformed.
