September 13, 2016....and the 53 taillights for this one. It says 53 but shows a 54 grill. It also says "Panel". NO, it's a Sedan Delivery!!!4
September 13, 2016Black-Revell, Red-Monogram...5
September 13, 2016...longer AND wider. The red 53 hood should also have a crease up the middle!6
September 13, 2016The 3 side by side7
September 13, 2016The windshield was molded with the wings. It didn't fit very good so I cut off the wings. Now the glass just slips through so I had to trim it out a bit8
September 13, 2016I like the seperate frame & floor pan, but the floor has no details at all9
September 13, 2016I'll just make it smooth, paint it flat black10
September 13, 2016Cut off the gas tank, easier to paint. I'll do the frame in gloss black11
September 13, 2016Just one of the ugly sink marks that has to go!12
September 13, 2016Anybody else remember these 2 piece tires? I remember them back in the day. Never could figure out how they expected us to glue them together, they didn't have Super Glue back in those days!13
September 15, 2016I want to use these wheels but the axles are different14
September 15, 2016so out with the old....15
September 15, 2016...in with the new! The tires are from the 53 "panel"16
September 15, 2016And I can't believe I'm even thinking about doing this, but the 6 banger won't fit the 54 tunnel, so here goes nothin!17
September 15, 2016Well such as it is. There's some ugly gaps to fill. Maybe I'll try some milliput on them.18
September 15, 2016The top part @ the firewall is way under the dash so it won't be seen. The red hump is a bit higher than the black, but it's under the seat so it won't show either. Just gotta fill the gaps & blend in the seams!19
September 16, 2016Patched the gaps w/glue melted sprue. Looks like it's going to take a few days to harden up completely20
September 16, 2016I'll use a bit of the Perfect Plastic Putty to blend the seams inside.21
September 28, 2016cut the engine mounts from the 5322
September 28, 2016should fit in there now!23

Album info
This is the first car I remember as a kid. I was probably 6 or 7 at the time. It was my stepdads. It was a green 4 door sedan. I remember it mostly because of the dash. It had about 30 vertical chrome bars across it, and you could see your reflection in every one. It was cool!
