My ancient Frog P-47. I had started this to enter in Modelling Madness' Frog contest, but didn't finish in time. It looks more like the 'B' model to me since it doesn't have the deep fuselage behind the cowl. What a fun and stress free build it was. I used every part and they all fit well, save for the wing / fuse join. I only used filler on two deep sink marks in the cowl, and amazingly enough the kit decals worked perfectly. The kits most obvious inaccuracies is the turtledeck shape (too rounded and swoopy toward the tail) the forward canopy (rounded all the way around instead of pointy in the front) and questionable panel line (all nicely recessed, btw) accuracy. I loved it! I used Tamiya Gloss Aluminum rattle can and brush painted MM flat black and Zinc Chromate. No gloss or flat clear...just pretty basic stuff.
