Your dio is looking very good Andrew. What material did you use for the road and hills?

Hi Gorbygould, thanks for the kind words. The materials for the road i used powdered tile grout (driftwood colour) mixed with water and European earth pigment from Vallejo. The hills i used high density foam board, often found in your hardware shop in the insulation area. In Aust (Bunnings Hardware) the brand is Knauf insulation board. Its not messy like Styrofoam and I pressed real rock into the foam to create impressions and PVA to glue it together. Hope this helps

Thanks for the information Andrew. A neighbour is currently having a loft extension, so they probably have a few insulation board off-cuts. I feel a bit of skip diving may be called for. 😉

Happy to help gorbygould, skip diving is an essential part of the scale modelling hobby 🙂 Thanks for the encouraging comments Markus.

Album info
Had a Trumpeter M113avac 1/72 scale sitting in the stash along with a S-Model M551 Sheridan 1/72 scale kit. Thought i'd put them together in a diorama depicting an NVA ambush.
