Is this a historical camo scheme? I keep being amazed at seeing such things. 🙂 Fascinating model.
I am guessing that the yellow patch under the nose, and the yellow strip on the side is indicative of being some higher ranking pilot. Somebody please fill me in on that, if you think you know. 🙂

Thanks folks, Treehugger the only info I have found is that the pilot was based in the Netherlands, I have seen this scheme on 109s but never a photo of a 190 wearing it

Treehugger, as far as I understand the yellow under the nose is for unit recognition or something similar to that. It could also have been red, the whole cowl being checkered either black/white, red/black, yellow/black. Depending on the unit and where it was located, usually yellow was the Eastern Front. Hope this helps.
