02 - Toyota Carina ED Assembly and painting

 

Sorry guys, I forgot to take the photos of the sprues so I can do the brief review this time! so just a picture of the items in the box

let's improve this a little bit with some scratches 

more scratches to improve the details of the armrests and door trim! 

here the interior already painted with dunkelgrau (German Grey) which is the base color for this interior 

original pics for AD in 1985, not for color references, just locate any part in the door panels 

some black parts and silver buttons become to apear in the dashboard!  

for the door panels, following the manual they said to use a very clear grey, and I think in follow this image from web as a reference!

for the body color I opted for the greenish Metallic Silver, which is the mixture of 3 equal parts of three different colors, and the proportion according to the manual is 1: X-11 (Chrome silver), 1: X-24 (Clear Yellow) and 1: X-25 (Clear Green)  

the tri-color rear lights, the center part is painted with clear red too, but painted in black in the rear part to make dark aspect 

Last night I decided to paint the chassis, it was easy according to the manual, it's basically flat black with some aluminum parts, I even opened a small poetic license and made a red and sports anti-torsion bar
