looking nice. i think i would have probably dipped that canopy in Future, to make it look more transparent.

Thanks guys!
Spanjaard, I did dip it in Future, twice. The first time it did improve the clarity, but there were some scratches at the top from the mold process I had missed. I stripped it off, re-sanded and polished, then re-dipped and repainted, which made a huge improvement. Trouble was the small amount of Micro Kristal Klear I used to attach it ate into the Future during cleanup. As this was for a group build which completed that day, I had to strip it again, polish, repaint and reattach. It's picking up a lot of glare from the photo lights too, as it looks much clearer in person.

Thanks Don! It does seem large, but it is due mainly to the limitations on the mold technology. I've compared it to the radar in the much newer tooled Eduard 1/72 190 kit, and it's actually finer detailed. The Eduard kit looks like drain pipe compared to the Revell kit.

Album info
My first plastic 'A' model 190, having built a balsa kit when I was 6 or 7. I've always loved the lines of this airplane. Albion Alloys aluminum tubing was used for the guns and pitot tube. A great kit with the exception of the canopy. Mine was in rough shape, and it took a few sessions of sanding & polishing to make it usable.
