Uh. That one hurts. Interesting idea. Maybe to weather the excavator a bit as they are hardly ever clean.

This diorama was inspired by a youtube video of a breakers yard were a mechanical grab had hold of a business jet and was swinging it around like a kid with a toy aeroplane. It comprises a Revell 1/32 Hawk T1A suitably stripped and a Hasegawa Hitachi Astaco Neo machine. Hand painted in enamels and weathered with AK dust effects applied with a cotton bud. The base was picture frame filled with Polyfilla and un painted except for some weathering to the joins in the slabs. The Hawk was a nightmare build whereas the Hitachi was a dream to build, hydraulic piping and all. Every hinge works and all the hydraulic rams extend and retract so the model can be easily posed.
