IRIAA AB 206

Just for comparison of the sizes of th 2 kits that I am working on. Bell 206 and Ch-47. Bell 206 is really small helicopter 

Added scrach to the fusela 

 

Masking the windows are challenging due to small sizes

Small details matter!
I checked Iran bell 206 photos..and I modified followings.

1. Creating by scratch
2. Engraving this line
3. Creating 3 holes
4. Filling this ( In the kit this one fills with antenna but in Iranian version of Bell 206 there is nothing there) 

Well I didnt like to remove UHF antenne and beacon because they were beatiful detail, but as I decided to create realestic chopper I had to.
1. Remove UHF antenne
2.adding wire
3. Removing beacon
4. Creating access panel 

See the gap of the windshield. Although few weakness of the kit , But I can say this kit is very good model considering the 1/72 size and overal shape.
May be the best 1/72 helicopter kit by italeri I have built untill today 

Ready for primer 

Priming goes nice and smooth 

The most challenging part of the Iran Desert camo is Tan color. I mix several colors to reach this but still needs time to judge the accuracy of color 

Masking on such small helicopter is not easy. But here it is 

Drawback of ltaleri kit is its skid. Unrealestic. Also its height is too for my object. In Iran most of jetranjers using low height skids. 

I had a doubt about shortening of skids. But I decide to modify it. Better than before but still far from what I liked 

And thats the result. Pretty happy about it. Little lovely bird
