Boeing EC-137D AWACS Concept
Minicraft + mods + Contrails + Revell + decals

I clipped this artist's rendition from an old aviation magazine (forgot which one). Boeing had originally planned to offer the AWACS based on a 707 airframe, but with four sets of paired TF-34 engines (ala S-3A Viking & A-10 Thunderbolt II). I do not have paired TF-34s in 1/144th scale, but I do have paired TF-33s from a B-52H previously modified to a G. So I will add a Contrails cockpit, spare Revell B-52H engine pods to a Minicraft 707 in place of the single TF-33 engines, add the dome from E-3A and modify the wing flaps & tips to 330C version. I will paint it SEA camo and add TAC & 552nd AEWC Wing shields and white or black OK tail code and possibly 71-1407/1408 serial.
