It likely inspired the design of the fictional Red October. Impressive machinery.
The Typhoon class, Soviet designation Project 941 Akula (Russian: Акула, meaning "shark", NATO reporting name Typhoon), was a class of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines designed and built by the Soviet Union for the Soviet Navy. With a submerged displacement of 48,000 tonnes,[4] the Typhoons are the largest submarines ever built, able to accommodate comfortable living facilities for the crew of 160 when submerged for several months.
The Typhoon subs were so expensive, it has been concluded it was one of the final nails in destroying the Soviet economy, resulting in the Soviet union losing the Cold war.
Big model 0,4 meters upgrading it to an advance build project. Best paired with the Dallas class for a nice nod to Hunt for the Red October.
